With a dropout rate of 1 in every 4 students, it’s imperative now more than ever to encourage our youth about the importance of a solid education. That’s an average of 1.3 million students that don’t end up graduating a year! That’s why we have teamed up with LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) to develop creative ways to promote attendance in schools! New Years’ Eve White & Black Ball of 2012!

A Spooktacular Halloween

WOW! What another fun event that was! We want to thank everyone who was able to join us for such a great time and can only hope that you had as much fun as we did! Not only is this years’ Spooktacular Halloween a blast, it was also for a wonderful cause! All proceeds will go directly to our Back to School program in partnership w/LAUSD! Back to School

On Saturday August 27^th, Thinking about Tomorrow presented a group of children in the LAUSD foster care unit with all the supplies they need for the school year!

Before passing out  backpacks loaded with school supplies, TAT spent the afternoon with the kids and the families by hosting a pizza party on the bluffs of Santa Monica followed up with a viewing of Spy Kids in 4D on the Promenade! We were so excited to share this experience with the kids before their first day of school!

RECESS

Saturday July 30^th was a truly special evening!  The night allowed adults to enjoy the simple things in life like hula hooping, dancing, and dressing up like kids while giving back to the community.  Thank you so much to everyone who supported this event through music, art, photography, volunteering or as a guest! We cannot do what we do in the community without this support and we are truly grateful.

DODGER DAYS

Thinking about Tomorrow teamed up with the Los Angeles Dodgers by getting together supporters of TAT’s programs to share a fun filled day of Dodger baseball!  The group got to see the Dodgers take on the Chicago Cubs while munching on Dodger dogs, nachos, and peanuts, and more!

TAT was honored on the field prior to the game and a welcome message was flashed on the scoreboard throughout the game.  What a cool event this was!  Stay tuned and you too can be part of Thinking about Tomorrow’s Dodger days!
